In order to realize the third international joint meeting and training activity of the “Digital Training in VET” project, we met with all our project partners in Budapest, Hungary, between 6-10 February 2023, hosted by one of the project partners, Bilingual Technical College in Újpest (UMSZKI).
After the project meeting discussing the project plan and progress, the Manufacturing Technologies Department, robotics laboratory and 3D scanning and printing laboratory in the UMSZKI campus were visited and information was obtained about their training methods.
The training activities programmed under the hosting of UMSZKI were implemented between 8-10 February 2023. On the first day of training, a presentation was made by the students of UMSZKI on basic information and application areas about robotics and assistive robots. Examples were presented about their potential applications in the project curriculum. In the second presentation of the training, presentations were made about 3D scanning and modeling while the advantages and disadvantages of 3D scanning technologies were explained.
In order to observe good practice examples on-site, visits were made to the factories of “FESTO” and “SIEMENS Energy” companies, which have made a name in the field of automation and robotics worldwide.
Upon completion of the training and site visits, a closing reception was hosted by UMSZKİ and participation certificates were presented to the project partners.
